Founded in July 1957, Yaesu Publishing originated from “Motorcycle Publishing”. It launched Motorcyclist, one of Japan’s earliest motorcycle magazines, when such publications were still rare. Since then, it has produced a wide range of hobby-focused magazines, including those on cars, bicycles, radio-controlled models, classic cars, and camper vans. The company also publishes many themed “mooks” (magazine-books) based on specific interests. Guided by the philosophy of “igniting the spirit of play and building a bridge between people and their passions,” Yaesu Publishing is expanding its coverage into gourmet, travel, anime, and subcultures. In 2024, it established a dedicated division to develop international licensing and content export initiatives.

株式会社八重洲出版は、前身のモーターサイクル出版社に始まり、1957年7月に創業しました。当時、まだ数が少なかったモーターサイクル専門雑誌『モーターサイクリスト』を発刊以降、自動車、自転車、ラジコン、クラシックカー、キャンピングカーなど、人生を豊かにする趣味分野の専門雑誌を発行してきました。また、その中からテーマを絞ったムックも多数発行しています。「遊び心に灯をともし、お客様と趣味の世界をつなぐ架け橋」を企業理念に、グルメ、旅、アニメ、サブカルチャーなど取り扱うジャンルも拡大中です。なお、海外版権輸出は2024年より担当部署を設立し取り組みを開始しています。
